SoftBank Robotics America Partners with Formant to Expand Transformation of Work Solutions.

SAN FRANCISCO (December 21, 2023) -- SoftBank Robotics America (SBRA), the North American division of the global leader in robotics solutions with over 20,000 robots deployed, has announced a strategic partnership with Formant, the leading robot management system (RMS). The partnership will drive deeper integration across the portfolio of solutions SoftBank Robotics offers to help businesses transform the way they get work done.

SBRA chose Formant as a strategic technology partner to help lay the foundation for integrating advanced business intelligence, additional software services, and artificial intelligence, so its customers can maximize their investments in robotics and work transformation. SBRA’s continued investment in building and integrating new technology solutions (both hardware and software) demonstrates the company’s commitment to enabling businesses to overcome any existing and future labor challenges.

"SoftBank Robotics has proven that technology, data and white glove support are the core of driving measured business value and service with this industry,” said Brady Watkins, President, SoftBank Robotics America. “This partnership with Formant allows us to evolve our solutions with new and innovative services that deliver enterprise grade automation at scale. The focus of the resulting solutions will be to allow our clients to provide more integrated services to their end users.”

“The partnership with SBRA marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the commercial robotics industry,” says Jeff Linnell, CEO and Founder of Formant. “Formant’s tools and experience will help SBRA evolve to more rapidly integrate any robotics solution into their customers’ environments, thus accelerating the adoption of automation by businesses in need of transforming work.”

This partnership announcement coincides with SBRA’s product portfolio expansion to offer the new Vacuum 40, a commercial vacuum robot developed by Gausium and brought to market by SBRA. The Vacuum 40, joins SBRA’s existing portfolio of autonomous solutions – Whiz vacuum and Guasium’s Scrubber 50 Pro.
