In August 2022, Wicomico County Schools successfully partnered with Acme Paper and SoftBank Robotics America to integrate Whiz, a commercial robot vacuum, into janitorial staffs’ daily routine. The initial phase of the program was so successful they increased their investment over 3X including adding new capabilities of scrubbing with the S50 robot.
